Thanks for the response everyone, gladly appreciate it! What I did notice through my personal observation is that most Concept Artists (2D/3D) are freelance. Are they used less in a studio environment?
Hello guys. Want to show you my lastest work. Portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/nguyentran3dart Email: nguyen3dart@gmail.com Need a freelancer? Please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
Sure, if you're a offsite freelancer you can use whatever you want but if you're on site a Max studio isn't going to spring the extra cash to buy you a Maya license
"companies just don't want me to show anything for whatever dumb reason they have" They don't want people to know a mere freelancer made all that awesome stuff in their game :P
Hi guys, Was pulled away by some freelance, but wrapped up the scene now. Looking at it, there is pretty much no difference, but at least I shipped it, which is something im trying to get better at :)
Oh wow - I did the werewolf dude as one of my first ever freelance projects. I'd totally forgotten that I worked on a character for this and never knew that it was finally released! :D
You need a portfolio. The Job I have been doing for an extremely long time is practically pointless for most positions. Why I hope to get a position in a studio or do freelance !
I'm not talking about a game. I'm looking for freelance artists interested in testing a new kind of media marketplace where they can sell their media. Anyone interested, please contact me.
Er... are you... advertising your services? Or asking for critiques? That site looks like a professional outsourcing portfolio from multiple people. This thread may get moved to the Freelance Work forum.
