My texturing teacher always has us use TexTools for Max (it's free), and its "Smoothing Groups from UV Shells" to fix weird edges like this while baking. Sorry for the late reply.. Your mesh looks good. The edge flow is there because of reasons: 1. If you don't want it you would have to sculpt from a cube in zbrush subdividing many times this causes mismanagement of polygons and you will not achieve the highest detail possible. 2. Yeah, you do, press "3" on the keyboard and you will see smooth preview going on. You wont need to apply until you want to, so it's not an stack like max, but it's better because you can press "1" and "3" all the time and see whats going on. He means shading it on the diffuse I imagine, i.e. where your edges meet, usually you do little tricks, like scratches, or highlights, something to exagerate the edge more. Basically you don´t need hard edges at uv splits, you just need a uv-split at a hard edge when you bake normalmaps. And your mesh is really smooth so there should be no hard edges anyway.
