In all seriousness, i like the textures so far, but for something like this i'd do it stylized, at least a little bit. Just my 2 cents. Keep it up, i want to see this thing when it's done :P
Currently sculpting out the wood for the lower half of the chest. Thinking I like a more stylized wood over a realistic texture for this. Feel free to stop by my stream and yell at me, I should be on all day :D
Leaning more towards realistic. The base model that I started off was more stylized with the proportions. The one thing in particular that seems to be staring me in the face this morning is the legs in comparison to everything else... lol. Thanks for taking a look ^^
You have a really nice, consistent stylization for your toadstools and barrels. The trees don't QUITE mesh with that style, but still look very nice. I would maybe like to see some more saturation in the trees, somewhere.
GDC - Animating Dauntless. Worth checking out! He goes into how they use mocap for their stylized game, as well as using mocap on their creatures. Great talk. http://gdcvault.com/play/1024081/Animating-Dauntless-Slaying-AAA-Animation
Thanks guys! So here is a character i'm working for the "fighters" challange at facebook. It's Tam Tam, from Samurai Shodown. I'm going for a bit more realistic aproach but conserving the stylized proportions. C&c much appreciatted
Concept is super nice! I think you could maybe push the stylization a bit by shortening his overall stature. I like the small head but I think his limbs could be shorter to accentuate the style more.
Ya seeing this makes me wonder...will the Tully/MoP team be no more? Great work! The Zbrush stuff is really bad ass. Stylizing the hooves to a be a bit more "Clydesdale" in appearance might help balance out the character. B
I don't think that 3d coat can actually be a substitute to substance. Yet idk, never really used it. Most of the time I see people using 3d coat for stylized assets like hand painted stuff.
Hello, This is Lana, a quick sketch of a character for a game I'm working on.. ..and, a quick sketch for 3D version, I was aiming for something highly stylized, something between Coraline and Gorillaz, I would appreciate feedback very much! Thanks!
