Thanks! Im glad you guys like it. All leaf textures are made from highpoly meshes and The trees and bushes are all handbuilt :) Might be difficult to get breakdowns but Ill see what I can do! DavidBrumbley- which texture do you mean :) ?
I did try to find reference at youtube and google, did not find, thought people might try to help me, I guess not... and I am going highpoly, thats why I am asking how to bevel that part without ruining the smoothness, and here
If you are having crashing issues with when trying to keyframe it then that might be the case but Maya is kinda weird with performance when it comes to highpoly models. When exactly does Maya crash? You could try to hide the parts you aren't moving before trying to keyframe.
Your description bar underneath each image stretches outside the template on firefox, and also when I click on your highpoly house render it takes me back to the leather chair. Site itself is very nice though just seems to have a few bugs.
nice! are you planning to take all of these assets to game level? within a game art context it seems a little odd to handpaint all the lighting information directly onto a highpoly model (the saw), and some small details on the fan might get lost at the bake stage.
Im just going to post the max file so you can check out both lowpoly and highpoly and the UV´s of course. http://www.mediafire.com/download/5iui6k56i8iz2q6/ElvenDagger.max Edit In case you dont have max here is a pic of my UV´s.
Well, I stayed away from this guy for about a week, but here's an update! I'm thinking about calling the highpoly modelling done and make additional normalmap details in photoshop. Next I'll start vertex painting in zbrush. All feedback is as usual much appreciated!
The highpoly is looking good and clean but some areas of the clothes feel a bit unfinished. You could try and sculpt in more seams, stitches and puckering around all edges of leather, as well as buttons and wear and tear effects. The wrinkles you already have are looking great!
Thanks dude! gonna try my hardest to get this in by the deadline. roughly 10 hours left. highpoly is as done as its gonna be with how much time i have left. i wanna save the bulk of my time for texturing and cleanup/polish. now to bake it...
Yup, correct :) Tiling textures in my highpoly renders, thats why they are so crisp. Also use alot of tricks on my lowpoly models, so they are pretty much always at a higher texel resolution than a 4/8/16 k texture would give : )
