anyone remember CS3's 3D paint? how awesome that was. or their first effors at their "brush-engine" years back. edgy paintstrokes. kewl. and that you now have even more camera support - like millions of models i'll never own. fixed screen colors that look nice on a mac where you can't customize anyway, not so nice on a…
Wish i never tried the demo, this game blows pretty bad and ruined some of the memories of one of my favorite FPS's. Brings nothing new to the table gameplay wise from what i've seen in the demo, which in my opinion makes it a poor attempt at a demo. What were they thinking? This game is horrible in all respects, graphics…

When starting out mostly from books or whatever else came to hand in those days self-teaching myself sub-d modelling I'd made up my mind to religiously follow certain 'rules' and "do's-n-don'ts" because...well it's THE correct thing to do, however there's more to the discipline that meets the eye... Anyways if you've time…
yapasddfgg . Mental ray is old I would not really use it today. I don't know about hypershade but nowadays offline renderers are usually easier to use than years ago. V-ray is much more friendly since 3.0, Corona is almost a one-click renderer. Iray in substance is dead easy to use. Octane renderer too. You could check out…
I have to say, just the website layout itself is F*cking awesome. Its super simple, yet extremely effective and I am pretty sure just about anyone could figure out the ins and outs of the website in seconds. Brilliant. Though, maybe make the textures font at the top right a little more professional or just stand out a tad…
That's a big improvement! Your colors are starting to mud together, it's better than your older attempts, but all of the colors are really soft and blended. You should have some harsher edges between color patches. JenZee does this really boldly: http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/308/7/1/squigly_by_jenzee-d6t3m5k.jpg…
Unfortunately, if you want good uvs you have to put the work in. Everyone wants the quick and easy way out but, really, unwrap tools have come a long way over the years. Newcomers don't realise how easy yhey have it! :) Use a texture map like this…
saturate the highlights more. What you can also do is when picking your lighter color, not only do you move the little color picker up and to the right however much you want, but you can also move it up on the hue slider a tiny bit also. Same goes for shadows but do the opposite ;) Heres one I did using what I just said,…
