Fake Volumetric Fire in Unity
I developed a "fake" volumetric fire simulation in Unity. In short, I use a set of alpha-clipped and blended cards stacked in front of each other, and the fire fades in/out based on the distance from the center card. Looks like you can play with Speed and MaxSpeed, they would control how fast it moves, therefore influences how far it would go before dying (I assume the projectile dies after a second). Getting better. Right now if you look at the silhouette the right arm and the pistol vanish completely. I'd recommend something to extend the gun so that it breaks the line of her silhouette on her left side. You could do this by rearranging the arm so the gun is held just under her left arm, or you could attach a silencer… -

this is not logical,- you need at least 1 face in order to have at least an edge. With edges and faces as a base you can do that with a snap. With just the verts (very odd modeling style) it would require a special maxscript that would sort the verts in space and create face ID`s based on their locations. with 1 edge… -

I enjoyed looking over your preview so far....Nice work. 3 suggustions though: I dont know if you used the logic of melted metal for the connection between the blade and the handle. But if you have, than make it more visible or solid. Extend the handle a bit so it wouldnt look like off physics in game holding the sword…
