i'm back, edit: i'm feeling motivated and will continue working on this. edit2: I'm teaching 3d animation in a local center and barely have time to continue this art, so it is going to take some time.
inspiring & beautiful! Love how you kept the white cloth of the skirt continuing up the torso to poke out around the chest, and showing that continuity across the ribs where the lacing is.
Only problem with that is the fact that you'd have to add more geometry. Opposed to if you have separate texture maps you would be able to tile continuously on a single continuous geometry.
Continuing hair experiments. Now attempting to make some shells. Obviously not quite there yet either... We'll see which technique I end up sticking with as I continue experimenting.
small update on the head - worked on the ears. And continued with his body and also started blocking in his pants and stuff. Some parts are still missing though. (Like a belt around his waist..) Going to continue tomorrow.
i got the value wrong its the on-off not a number value :) make sure your adjusting smooth uv's and turn it off , not continuity. continuity has the numerical value and adjusts the smoothness of subdivision.
Thanks for the critic, Bradler. Unfortunately, I won't be continuing the game engine project for now. I will take note of what u have said, when I get round to continuing it. Update:
I'm very sorry friends, I thought the contest ended on the 31st of last month, but it continues so I'm going to try to continue it as much as I can, I'm very sorry, :confounded:
...Dolph got put through a wood chipper in the first one, and JCVD was a civvie/drill instructor in the second, how the heck did they end up back on ice? CONTINUITY ERROR! CONTINUITY ERROR!!
I've noticed that as well. Whats even more strange, sometimes when undoing, if you unselect the object or mesh you're working with, then continue pressing CTRL+Z undo continues to work again.
