Hello everyone! Today I'm having some technical problems with preserving UVs while making modular meshes. I have a finished modular stair piece made in 3DS Max, 8 steps, 128 high, and 256 wide, with correct UVs and lightmap UVs. I'd like to use it to create several variants that you can build alongside it - a curved inner…
Hi everyone, We're interested in creating a modular barrier set for 3D marketplaces, we would appreciate your feedback and ideas on improving our models, they have to be relatively low poly and our aim is to make a high quantity at an affordable price for indie devs, thank you for your time. model model

We are a small start up tabletop miniatures business and are also currently looking for a tileset artist to sculpt modular tiles (digital sculpting) being able to sculpt, wood, brick, stone etc in a stylized manner is a must. We will provide the blocked out base meshes as well as concept art. The artist should have a good…
Oh I have watched that video thank you. But it does not talk about how to set up UVs for Light Maps for modular set pieces. I would be happy to get used to it but this is a brand new concept to me, any advice when it comes to modular models?
im working on a big environment that has one building that’s unique. Meaning it won’t be used again throughout the game. What’s the best way to go about this? Should I make it one big mesh and split it into sections for lightmap purposes? The building is pretty big, with a lot of unique pieces that can’t really be modular…
I don't think it is intended to have everything on one texture sheet. He mentions making modules to breakup the modular pieces that would be used alot, so maybe these module type pieces would exist one map, and then the base modular bits on another.
It's been two years since my friends and I finished the first installment of Fallout: Project Brazil, our major mod project for Fallout: New Vegas. I've been kinda aimless since then, working for small indie game companies as a 3D and texture artist, shooting events as a photographer & videographer, and a couple large…
I'm looking for some games that show us how NOT to use modular design. I need it for my presentation and nothing comes to my mind. Important note: it must be a in-game example not a random guy's work on forum or sth. Also it shouldn't be older than 10 years - preferable the new ones.
