Oddly enough its easier to say what is needed for an AAA-studio then others. With indies or smaller studios its harder to get the idea who is applying there. For example what I've seen while I was in Finland, they have access to big investors even for small mobile projects thus they can go for experienced AAA artists who…
I also had this question recently. I took some models from modern games (PUBG, MK11) and pretty much all of them do have thickness on "hanging" parts of their clothing - even if a tiny amount. Which seems like it's bound to have inter-penetrations when it's simulated. I guess I'm just thinking in terms of Unity cloth sim -…
I would. I'm in my early 30's. I'll be blunt a bit because I felt like I had a similar issue. This is just my perspective, maybe just the way I see it here in the US. Just work at a AAA studio. That's pretty much it. Or a well-known studio. It could even be a contract gig for a year. Environment art or any role similar. Be…

It doesn't state that you create your own AAA title. But actually says that you work on their AAA title. Which, technically could mean your AAA title idea.
without the doubt, indie games are on arise atm, and alot of AAA games are being criticized. Alot of people mentioned you could as well hook up your phone/tablet with a bluetooth controller or connect your pc to your tv. but imho the fact that people are using these workarounds is also a sign that there is a demand for a…
It won't have much of an effect on real AAA development. I think it will encourage a lot of wannabe AAA development. People will spend a lot of time making a shiny tech demo without having the skills or financing to run a AAA size team.
I was curious about the gaming industry in Canada, because i want to move there. But, i am a bit disappointed of very small number of AAA Studios in Canada, in compare with US, they are lots of AAA Studios. Is Gaming industry in Canada is not well formed or why less AAA companies there?
