I kinda solved it. I think it was when I was making a new paint layer it was a 8 bit layer, when i did it in a 16 bit layer it was almost none existent. Everyone once in a while it would pop up again but if it painted over it it would go away. When i did 32 bit the same thing as the 16 bit. Its now workable though compared…
4-16-2012 Pulled an all nighter so I'm going to go ahead and count this as 4-16-2012. This was a 1 hour to 1.5 hour speed sculpt without reference starting to feel alot more confident with faces but still have a ways to go. Might move on to the other parts of the body... I need to sleep first though. As always any C&C…
The xnormal artifacts are from rendering in 32-bit, and the dots in normal map from 3dsmax are because 3dsmax uses dithering to convert the 32-bit internal render to 16-bit output file. If you bake in xnormal at 32-bit then convert in Photoshop to 16-bit you'd get the same dots as in 3dsmax. The only solution is to fill…
+1 I am using an Intuos4 M and use this technique, I have quick access to my keyboard and it feels the most natural way of doing it to me atm I'm using 2x24" 1920x1080 monitors but map my tablet to one screen and check force proportions. adds a little dead space to the bottom of the tablet surface since the intuos4 surface…
"We need it in PBR textures where we usually clip black and white ?" Saw people storing base color textures as 16 bits/channel. Even when its not necessary. For a 1000px long gradient, yeah its reasonable. But with the exceptation of vector textures, most textures are fine with 8 bits/c and you literally can't tell the…
Hello! I just tested again with the latest paid version 1.7.5 from Gumroad and actually, I managed to export a single layer as 16 bits/channel but it only works when exporting a single layer. When I try to export an entire group in the Selected Group Mode, the files keep getting saved as 8 bits/channel even though my PSD…
Heya, I have two different monitor sizes at diff aspect ratios too, 16:9 and 16:10, and it's annoying at first but you get used to it. I did anyway. The extra room is handy for other windows etc, but you won't be able to drag from the top of the largest monitor across to the smaller one for example as there's some dead…
i have 16:10 desktop, mudbox 2011 and win 7 64bit. everything is working fine. i do have a intuos 3 6x11 which is wider than the A4 and more proportional to the 16:10. anyways, make sure you turn off 'Wacom Virtual Hid Driver' go to control panel -> Human Interface Driver -> Wacom Virtual Hid Driver - disable it and…
16-bit images can already have 4294967296 different shades of color per channel. 64-bit image would have 18446744073709551616 per channel, and as most monitors can't really display all the different colors of 16-bit images, 64-bit images would really just be a waste of disk space at the moment. Maybe when monitors have 1…
Yup, big waste of triangles. You could fake that indentation with a normal map and just have that square plane be 2 triangles, rather than 16 like it is now. And if you really want a hole like that don't make it 16 sides, its a bit overkill. EDIT: You've also got a few too many edge loops on that cannon. Specifically…
