Dude thanks for the awesome tutorial, it really cleared up how to go about creating text for me and thank you for the grate tutorial as well. Cant wait to see more updates.
Just want to let you know that buying tutorials is completely optional, theres countless free resources out there. Only buy tutorials if you're expecting to learn something specific out of it.
http://www.imbuefx.com/downloads/tag/tutorials/ its not updated much any more (Bill now works at Epic) but there's some great beginner tutorials here (and an fx specific forum) cheers
"back in the day" this was the defacto tutorial everyone shared on polycount for texturing PSG Art Tutorial. It's all about concepting/illustration but those fundamentals apply to the old school, hand painted style.
I would also recommend heading over to 3d motive and eat 3d if you have the money for there tutorials, and you can learn a lot of basic and advanced techniques from their tutorials.
Thanks everyone! I had just finished BlenderGuru's famous doughnut tutorial. Now I'm going to tackle modeling, sculpting and retopologizing. Then I'll probably follow along with more tutorials
This screams the 3d motive tutorial its good to get practice with but i would be hesitant to put in portfolio since it looks like you just copied the tutorial. Good execution tho
@duxun: The clouds are actually 3D models, they're based on this tutorial: http://stephenjameson.com/tutorials/faking-volumetric-effects/ @popngear: The DOF is from UDK, I'll try to tweak some values
I have a tutorial on my website that explains max's snapping behavior...people always seem to have trouble with this scroll down on my 3d section under tutorials www.custom-airbrush.com
