Also CryEngine supports Linux now, man wish their import pipeline would not suck so much, now that i seriously want to dive into Blender, but cool about the new licensing model should get a lot more indies into this engine.
upgrade back to Max 2009! But seriously, has there been capabilities added to any new version of Max that wasn't already handled by plugins? When I have the free time I'm going to reinstall Max with Per's 3DS clean voodoo.
No thanks to Leigh van der Byl; seriously; what a talentless, egotistical c**t. How she is still head honcho at CGTalk I will never know. I like her casual dabbling in defamation of character towards the end of the thread.
Why does everyone on polycount make sci-fi hallways hahaha. This is great though in all seriousness. I really love the modularity and texture work. Danpaz is right though, crank up the contrast a bit and give that scene some drama.
Heres another one. Nobody's giving me any feed back but imma keep doing my thing :3 But no seriously. I just moved to Los Angeles to be closer to the game industry. I need to get better. Always be practicing.
No one else will say it? Fine. I will. That thing is sick nasty. In all seriousness, this looks really cool. Although, I think it could use a beard of some sort since most adult moose have some type of neck scruff.
Rigging is almost complete, before I start painting weights, I'm going to model some parts again and more detailed. Seriously need to have a look at the face, arms and boots - and the inventory. Then off to weight maps and then selecting materials for the character.
That's some seriously awesome texture work! Your metal work is especially making this piece pop! The normal work on the skin seems a little off at parts. Sometimes the fine lines raise up, while other times they appear to go down.
Your so strange... I like it :P But seriously, you should change the color of the mask atleast so it doesn't break his color scheme And is this a bit based off of a digimon character? because im kinda getting a hue from there
the sad truth is that booth max and Maya are outdated applications that need a heavy recode in their cores (and they are crazy overpriced as well) If I'd run a company myself I would seriously consider other alternatives such as Modo, Blender, XSI or hell even Sketchup.
