DUUUUUUUUUUUH. I forgot to restart the server. It is definately passworded now. Sorry guys, yesterday was kinda screwy for me so I was doing things off and on and trying to stop by and check in on things here as well. Should be passworded with the password "polycount" now.
Definately improved, but still could be pushed further. BTW, I'm assuming since you went to SCAD that you have Acting for Animators by Ed Hooks but there's alot in there that would help you really push this guy's feel. Good stuff though.
Thanks Linkov! I noticed that your paintover looks alot cleaner than mine. Perhaps I'm trying too hard to define it my stone and scratches. I see what you mean and I'll try to go more in that direction!
It definately sounds like you could use some better tools to help with lightmapping automation. Quick easy all-dynamic lighting looks very lame compared to nice juicy baked-in lighting with ambient occlusion, plenty of lights etc.
Cool Design! Maybe make one blade detachable so she could fight with two swords when she wants, that would be sweet. also, listen to skankerzero on the forehead comment, would definately look more feminine with a forehead adjustment.
Question: i'm following hourences guide on terrain, but when its supposed to paint texture, it keeps just painting the terrain up.... any ideas? -i've definately got standard paint tool selected - i think i'm missing something
no too bad. i just think you could define the folds a bit more looks a little made up in places. Put on a similar top and look in the mirror, take some pics. it really helps to have ref in front of you
Thanks for your crits and views, people! kaburan; yeah, I'll definately keep that arm in mind for the final design. Some more thumbs. I kinda like the 'capsule' on A because the shape reminds me of one of those russian fur hats.
Y'know, 90% of that was in my paintover Anyway, everything looks to line up about right except the back. Grab some ref images of people, not just muscle charts, with really well defined musculature on their backs. Should help out a lot.
Yeah not a bad film. There were a lot of areas where it could have been better defined (some vague suggestion as to how Loginus' Lance wound up where it was found would be a good start), but it was still an enjoyable bit of Hollywood fair.
