Reading this thread reminded me how tricky stylized girls are to make, lots of tweaking proportions but it paid off, the body looks much more relaxed now! This is going to be be awesome, would be nice to see the face with the eyes in there too :>
I think the sculpt is missing a lot of the qualities that the original concept had for example the sharp corners and angular design. Right now, the sculpt looks kind of generic while the concept had a nice stylization to it that really spoke to me.
I love how stylized many of your drawings are, especially with the invented creatures, its really amazing. Its also great to see SO MUCH work from a long period of time all packed together as one.
My first two job interviews were for stylized first person shooters. My entire portfolio was realism. While tailoring your portfolio helps, a good artist should be able to quickly apply their knowledge to another style.
What are your ultimate goals? If you're looking to do hand painted textures I recommend 3Dcoat. I started doing stylized in substance painter, but that's slightly at a different skill level. You'll want to learn the basics of texturing.
@YooleeooshOh my god, i didnt read the part of "attack". Just tough in a Stylized effect. I'm gonna keep the theme but gonna change some stuffs on the next hours. Thanks! (I feel really dumb now)
i thought you were going for some really low poly stylized stuff , like katamari damacy... if you were going for something realistic, why did you make your original mesh so low?
Ohw damn, these are awesome! I especially dig that chair, although I'd add some poly's there. Since you're planning to get them into UE4 are you going to go for stylized PBR or try and go for purely diffuse maps?
I think the chunky platform shoes seem a bit forced- I'm thinkin a fem-wolvie wouldnt wear those. I think you could throw a little stylization to her curves but thats me. good luck
Did some textures too .. inspired by carter - textures not final, just an attemped to stylized tiles.. Pieru and Carter how did you manage that the wall tiles poping out ? Did you remodel the siluette after the bake ?
