I think you need to go to View and choose hardware display materials with maps, or, use the slate editor, right click on your material and choose realistic display (the easier option).
Thanks for your feedback! Do you mean that cable ties should be kind of plastic? I supposed them to be something like rubber. But your idea sounds much more realistic.)
Thanks Cgartland! As far as rendering techniques, what do you mean? Do I need to do away with the lines altogether and go for a more realistic approach? Thanks for your input :)
It's based on a Continental Army general uniform - frock coat, waistcoat and riding boots. Mostly from memory. Now that I'm looking at references, I see that the fabric isn't very realistic.
Wow. Some really great work there. Thanks for showing! My only crit is that the brass clip on the first AK isn't as realistic looking as everything else. overall this stuff is hot though.
any chance we could see him with the coat transparent, or the bottom part hidden? Lookin good, but the wrinkles on his arms aren't all that realistic. Can't wait to see this finished.
vue is pretty gnarley for pumping out nice realistic heightmaps. A mate of mine was using it with max in work a while back, that wasnt with unity though. might be worth a 5 minute google :)
I *think* GT5 may get very realistic crash model, they didnt put it into GT4 because the hardware couldnt handle it and they didnt want to use some half assed crashes.
Looks good! You seem to have gone for a more realistic but I like the comic look and proportions of the concept drawing. Rick, is that pic from your San Andreas reference collection?
Thanks for the help! The newest shots look really nice. I can't wait to see the texturing on this. What type of texturing are you going to go for, more realistic I am guessing?
