Wow, this sounds like it will be a fun, yet challenging project Tea. One suggestion would be to use Mudbox to do your texturing. After you unwrap whatever meshes you intend to unwrap, you can projection paint in Mudbox and it affords little to no seam issues, since your painting on the model, and straight to the UV's… -
