starcraft scream? no, that scream predates starcraft by years. I think it's becoming a running gag in the sound design world, similar to the teapot in highpoly 3d, or the lensflare/dropshadow photoshop kungfu-ery. I know i heard it used in the old lucas arts games circa 1993-5 (like Dark Forces) a lot. -

I do hope more studios move towards using an art test and the mandatory probation period to assess a candidates ability and competancy especially for junior roles and new hires over using the portfolio exclusively to evaluate this. Like at EA, on my project I didn't find any direct 1:1 correlation between a candidates… -

The best solution I've found was to just use a tablet/stylus for everything - no mouse. I've heard that regular exercise especially the kind that gets blood circulating through the back, shoulders, neck, and arms helps a lot from someone who did have surgery for carpal tunnel. Best to speak to a actual doctor about that… -

Hey Guys, Here is Some stuff I did for Bigshot Toyworks. It's a sculpt for a band called "Circa Survive" based on the art on their album called "Blue Sky Noise" painted by Esao Andrews. It was at the booth at comic con this year! I'll try to put up some better pics of the print when I get them. -

Yeah, but if E3 continues at a smaller level, don't you think they'll still want you to put together some sort of demo? Honestly, I don't know... I'm just assuming the same pressures would still be there. One thing to note though, the people attending didn't necessarily make it a circus. The venders/companies did that. -
Offset Cureve on Surface 3dsmax - Help
hey all It might sound easy but I realy dont get how do I offset circuled edge on face in 3dmax I created box then I champher the edges (the 4 on the wide side of it) in a fillet way, now I want to select all the edges in the side of it and offset them on the surface and extrude it inside. any help will help, thx :P -
