I should probably organise mine better before its gets too big. Starting with Assets I then break that into Man-Made and Natural, then I break that into folders based on Meshes/Props containing all the texture and object files for the mesh in there.

Ah cool that will sort of help it gets it closer and work for somethings but it's not quite as ideal as being able to break the edges. Breaking the edges would allow me to select by element and give results more like like what would actualy go in game?

Take any large project. Break it down into sections. Take any section and break it down into manageable chunks. As you complete each chunk, reward yourself with something. Add hours,days,weeks,months and/or years of persistence and perspiration ...and your project will be completed.
This is exciting! I love Krita so much. I'll even offer some concrete encouragement -- I promise if Windows builds are made I'll try to break them as often as I'm able. I'm extra good at breaking stuff. It's natural QA talent!
