@BagelHero - Thanks! @Dan Powell - Yeah, most of the modelling is done in Modo. I used photoshop to add in some details like cutlines. I'll throw up some wires too. Sorry for the image sizes, but those wires are small! 8-o
snap, ok guess its throwing the landscape shadow infront of the static mesh, hmm gonna try if double sided do anything better. However i think lightmap for landscape have to be atleast 8 to get those nice details on ground.
Wow, so we raise people to be retail associates? To do or have no other options or goals in their life to what they want to spend their life as/doing 8+ hours a day? Is that what your admitting? ;) [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ypgs2s3lEzs[/ame]
Updated the map, make sure you set the bots to be at least 8 players. Looking forward to seeing what you guys think. edit: PS3 version now available: http://www.3dwasabi.com/Unreal/UT3/files/PS3-DarkVortek.zip -Lee
Rodney Olmos made a UI for max 7 and max 8 called ROTools I have some problems with it. I guess it's mostly hard to get used to, even after using Maya for a while. Anyway, there are some cool features. Check it out.
Daaark, the torus is a placeholder right now for the architecture that supports the domed roof. Honestly it may be just a 8 sided torus with the top cut off so that it fits the angular style. Yeah, the things by the doorway are small braziers on animal pelts. Thanks for looking!
I barely learned anything at the 8 month art course i took at the U of Washington. I could have learned it all in a week on youtube. It was a very general 3D animation course 60% 3ds Max general 3D / 40% animation.
i switched back to max 8 until they release some kind of hotfix, it seems i'm not the only one it isn't working for. Ben, i am running the retail release of Ultimate. (lucky me for working in an electronics store with a weak manager lol)
I've been registering domains for about 8 years with www.joker.com as for hosting, been through a few, finally settled on one that hosts for artists (I somehow get over 20k unique a month) at www.misanthrope.nu for some reason I'm spotlighted at that site too!
It's definitely definitely important to have a graphic designer who handles advertisements and what not for your company. I'm not really sure there is such a need for someone to just deal with screenshots that they would have enough work to keep them busy 8 hours every day...
