That's probably the best tutorial on hair planes. Depends on the style you're going for though, if you want a solid mass of stylized hair you could re-topo that sculpt. Hair planes will give a different result.
Loving it! The bobbies are imo a little bit too big and makes me feel she's losing balance, but might also be personal taste. Super clean otherwise and nice stylization. Pentagrams corsets FTW! \m/
@Larry I haven't UV or lightmapped anything yet I just imported the meshes into Unreal. @supersnakelx Thanks! I've never done stylized textures before so I'm terrified to texture it and ruin it haha
Great work! Have you considered adding hair to the cheeks and sideburns to make him a tad more monkey? Right now I feel like the head could pass for just a very stylized human.
master it all imo. in my experience so far, if you work hard at both, you'll improve faster, because the whole realistic vs. stylized approach is all linked in one way or another anyway
Close... it's the Cybertron / Galaxy Force version of Starscream, though stylized a bit more to make him closer to the triangular shape the Seekers had in the first episode of G1... http://www.tfu.info/2005/Decepticon/Starscream/starscream.htm
Thanks guys! @MoP: I was just about to write an application for Splash Damage actually. I'd really like to work there, especially on projects like BRINK which has such a strong and stylized art direction. Cheers!
Awesome, great to see some stylized stuff rendered in marmoset. Alphatest? No shadows? It would be cool to hear what sort of issues you had getting this into marmoset, and what worked well, if you dont mind.
One of my favorite concept art pieces, good luck, looking good thus far. Some parts really need to be more stylized and pushed farther. That's what makes the concept work so well.
