I share the node setup to composite the textures baked with Knald to get a good grayscale ready to color with gradients to get a stylized effect. The AO is too contrasted by default i had to mix it with a white color. -

Really liked this Wildstar concept, and I haven't done a lot of stylized stuff. This one is still a WIP. Ready to texture, though, so hopefully I'll put up finished shots soon. This is with normals applied. -

I'm not an AAA artist but seeing all these portoflio makes me realize how the high the quality is just for a junior artist, makes me wanna really crank out more work up to this quality but stylized. -

Agreed. The current very stylized, tight, almost futuristic typography doesn't fit with cartoony zombies. Experiment with some vastly different styles, like Dii's, instead of making tiny adjustments to your current one. -

try to be aware that while Pior's statuette is a fantastic reference, it's heavily stylized in a way that IS DISTINCTLY NOT MARVEL. if you want your girl to look even remotely like a marvel girl, then this is already a bad start unfortunately. -

Well, no Max. That is why I want to know a relatively straightforward program that doesn't force me to learn a full 3d program. 3d-coat could be interested also for stylized painting (not for zbrush alike modeling) -

Well if thats the direction he's aiming for then go ahead and don't use any normals/spec maps. If's theres a reason for not using them, then i don't know unless your after some stylized look?
