Today's test, I decided to see if I could do 2D FX in blender, it worked through the use of nodes in blender cycles, loved it to be honest but I'll have to try something more ambitious later on to see if it really works on a more complex level. Here's the node setup I used for the Fire Ring (also used on the supposed blue…
Wow thanks! I always forget about the true foundations with more complex stuff, they really do hold true :P The horizon could be a little lower though yes? I feel like it should be just above the 2 belt rings. Now what about the slight change in the alignment of joints? How would you do this without an extreme perspective…
The quickest way to ring/edgeloops: With an edge selected hold Strg+RMB. Move the mouse to the bottom right: select edgeloop, to the bottom left: select edgering. You dont have to wait for the marking menu to appear. For edgeloop delete, hold CTRL+RMB, and draw a "V", for edgering split draw a "<" etc... Its like casting…
Wow I am really surprised how different it looks in Marmoset, those glows are really working for ya! Over all it is looking great, though the rear hubcap looks a little flat could try darkening rings or painting down some of those round parts, also darkening the red parts of the engine should give a bit more punch. Way to…
that titty ring is disturbing lol, and i cant help notice that the cloth looks like a camel toe.. i would suggest sculpting that assymetrically oh and try and incorporate a more appealing shilouette, similar to the concept art, right now you still have room to push the wraps on his arms and his torso/upper arms. nice job…
Mark Rein is your boxers trainer. He's not getting his hands dirty, but he has the skills and the know how to make your boxer into a champ. He's an integral part of any boxers career ask any boxer or anyone in the know and they'll tell you who the trainer is for who ever. They get paid great money but its not their ass in…
Here's a bit of progress. Not sure if it's a good idea to be using display smoothness. Started getting the metal rings incorporated. I'm going to remodel them I think so they fit the body better. Top part of the dress will probably just be painted on the texture of the chest and I'll put a normal map on top to add some…
To high poly and way to high res of a texture for an IW game :p I kid lol. I feel like the shower curtain would not cover half that bath tube, my shower curtain has 12 rings on it and your only has 6. I also feel like your curtain rod does not make much sense with how it is connected to the wall.
Well, so far, for the complexity you're going for, it looks pretty good. You're fingers are going to collapse too, but at that rez, you may not even animate them. Anything with one ring will collapse when you bend it. Put the extra geometry on the outside of the bend. Go in there and make sure that all your edges are…
Another thing to remember is your flow of polygons, especially if you plan to pull it into like Zbrush or Mudbox at a later date. You've got a very dense mesh up near the neck, and I don't think you need that line along the spine. You can probably lose 2-3 of the rings around the neck to make the flow better, without…
