I do believe that it reigns specifically because to get a job in the industry , making photo-realistic art is necessary. We all know that it's not all that fun to make :P

This really turned out great! Only thing thats bugging me is the more cartoon style grass she is standing on. Just a large contrast to the realistic character model.:)
In either case though the shoulder muscles don't quite look like that. I know it isn't ultra realistic that you're going for but he does make a good point.
It does! They are indeed from a concept. Maybe made more realistic than they were meant to be. Thanks for your feedback, I'll work in another character to show more variety
125 views and no replies :| Looking at this with fresh eyes today, the colours are very comic-booky, I'm going to take this onto the computer and try some more realistic colouring.
Quick work I made during some free time. Wanted to have a go at mixing stylized hair with more realistic-looking characters. Bigger images in artstation.
Update: Not to much, but it's getting there. I need to find a way to realistically render this bike when I am done. Anyone have any tuts? (I wont be texturing this.)
