Hello everyone, A project I recently worked on. The topic of concept piece is: The Journey and everything was modeled and textured in Blender. No reference or external images used for the composition. Feedback appreciated and I am also available for freelance work too.
sounds like a royal pain haha, but yeah i understand that's the pipeline/workflow you must take when handling tons of staff (freelancers?) using various dcc's.
Be sure to read the wiki about freelancing and art test. Lots of good advice there. Be sure to protect your valuable time and effort - don't deliver work without pay.
Hey! Just a little tip! I'd wager most employers are looking through the "Artist Looking For Freelance Work" sub-forums of polycount instead of this showcase/critique section. :)
You're absolutely right, have a look at some orthos: ..not too much of a change though, have been buisy with dayjob and freelancing lately. I'll get on it soon again!
Yay! I was concerned that I'd be trapped in Modo if I go that route. It's hard to justify freelancing in a "nonstandard" software package if you can't have the compatibility you need.
I'm sure the guy selling all these models worked as a freelance contractor on every top shelf FPS and somehow has a contract that allows him to sell these on the side :poly142:
But do you contract solely through agencies? there are plenty of freelancers which will work under contract with no agency involved, or do you like to use it as a vetting process or something.
