ok good :) You might want to post the references up if you want specific crits and feedbacks on the models you're doing. Otherwise all we can help you with is general proportions :) You might find this interesting: http://polycount.com/discussion/189005/30-heads-in-30-days
reading that makes me jealous :( mine boots up in like... 30 sec, and then takes another 30-60 sec to completely load all my startup programs (and I've tried really hard to limit the number of startup programs!) Shutting down takes about 10-15 sec.
I'd prefer if there was a solution where I could pay 30% of the total price for 30% of the total features, but get 100% of the features that I actually use. That's what the idea behind the indie version is (I assume...), and for my uses it fails to do that. Which is why I'm giving feedback.
I wanted to model/texture an object within a narrow timeframe, so I went with a shotgun. 30 minutes for the model, 30 minutes for the UV and other misc photoshop preperation, and 1 hour texturing. With more time it could have been way better, but I'm happy with the turnout.
This is bullshit. My shirt arrived on WEDNESDAY, but our leasing office is open 8:30 to 5:30 all week. I'm coming into work late so I can pick my shirt up tomorrow morning and wear it into work, I need something celebratory to wear.
You must take into account that one student being taught by one teacher has a higher quality of training than someone in a class of 30 plus martial arts students being taught by one teacher. When in a class of 30 plus, one doesn't get the attention they need to be the best they can be.
Time taken 1 hour 30 mins texture 30 mins model went well, grass is a bit weird had to stop due to time limit, happy whit the new technique for wood using splodges of color and then smudging the wood grain in. I'm gonna film my next attempt.
don't play tennis with the ball launcher for an hour. Learned my lesson last night. After 30 mins of the workout my body was feeling the pain of agressive movement. the next 30 mins was even worse. It was great exercise for my fat-computer-sitting-body, but I definately hurt this morning
[ QUOTE ] 30 days? That soon? The last time I saw the screenshot it was still very rough. It's coming out much sooner than I expected. [/ QUOTE ] Screenshot? What screenshot? They haven't released any. And you do realise that its 30 days before the *teaser*, not release, right?!
Is something like this what you're going for? https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/76/Normandy_bunker_command_post.JPG Without variations - maybe 30 minutes to plan each pieces and model. 20-30 minutes of UV. Less than an hour to texture with 3D-Coat/Painter. 15-20 minutes to assemble them in engine.
