Working on a new UE4 scene. Very early days, still blocking a lot of stuff out, but doing a few material tests too. Entirely using Substance Designer for all my texturing, no Photoshop/Quixel at all! Guess the game :)
My second "complete" substance designer material. Any criticism is welcome, I feel I'm improving but I need to work on my colouring/base colour work. Will probably go for a heavily colour based material for the next project.
Awesome work guys! Love the animated robots, and the mechs. Crosspost from here. Working on a new free Substance. This time a classic fan style pavement. (I noticed this was a very popular pattern here, so decided to try it for myself :) ).
Some progress. I had to blend the normals for the wood and stucco separately. The normals for the wood were very shallow before. This looks a bit more balanced. Crosspost from here. Procedural material made with Substance Designer 5 (Indie :) ).
So much nice work, It's very motivating thanks. Me... I'm trying to setup a nice procedural texture template (Smart material) for cars in Substance Designer. Should make things so much easier. Hope you like it.:)
Recently finished a UE4 scene I was working on: More pictures in the thread: http://polycount.com/discussion/162128/snowy-mountain-ue4-substance-designer And a small video made from the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H67AA82g1KI&vq=hd1080
Finished the High Poly & AO Bake of my assault rifle today: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156218 (Have to fix some smaller issue at the underbarrle launcher). Next will be the materials.. let's lern substance painter/designer :D
I improved a bit my character "Lena". I redid all the textures, this time in Substance Painter. However I'm still using only procedural noises. The only handpaint done is for a few masks. :) Rendering done in UE4 with a nice SSSSS.
Playing around with Substance Designer for the first time, creating this Herringbone Material. I must say I'm really enjoying it, its a very powerful tool. You can find more stuff on my artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artist/joakimstigsson Cheers!
Bit more modelling for my HL2 scene over the weekend. Took longer than expected but this was fun :) Modelled in 3ds max, textured entirely in Substance Designer. Marmoset viewer scene on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/city-17-apartment-old-bicycle
