I lived in Montreal for 3 months last summer while I was working at EA. It was one of the most awesome experiences of my young life haha. I didnt speak a word of french really and I was fine. the beer there is so cheap, like 12 bucks a pitcher at most places i went, one place had them for $5 on monday nights.....a recipe… -

The better question is, if this technolohy was realistic and feasible, then why wouldn't Carmack be leading the charge? The fact that Carmack has been working on it for, in all likelyhood over a decade but is still very skeptical of real implementation in an actual game engine is extremely telling.… -

Woo! Missed this game while at Gdc :) Beat most of the single player, didn't do the last death dd yet. Was workig my way trough explore mode games ad just doing the "recommended" games. Fun stuff! There is a really fun wing suit trick track, can't remember where it was but it was a lot of fun :) Need to keep leveling… -

Update: Didn't have that much time today since I was working, but did some blockouts of the grenades and bullets. I fear that the bevels might be a bit too sharp on the grenades. Might be better to have less och a bevel and sculpt in edge-wear like i did on the metal front of the boots. Might be able to break up the bevels… -

Don't expect to land a job in a triple A studio the second you leave Uni. Jobs are hard to come by more than ever. If you're a 3d artist, stick to environments/props, there are about 3-4 times as many jobs in that area as there as there in characters. You'll be up against over 100 people per position. Your wear and tear just really doesn't make much sense. If this thing was used a lot, at really worn down, you wouldn't see woodgrain (i'm imaging that is what most of that is), you would actually see the opposite. If this thing has been used a lot, there have been a lot of hands grabbing it, causing the wood to wear down.…
