Here's some examples of where there is stretching, the distance apart on your UV map in these areas is probably slightly too big for the amount of UV space, try dragging them closer until it looks a little less stretched.
I've gotten a decent amount of progress today re hauling the anatomy as a whole. Had a little fun making the head into a orc. I plan to give him an expression and a final render but for now its ok for a base.
hmmm how much time and energy do you spend on a single piece before deciding to move onto the next piece? it just seems like i can get critiqued and revise for an indefinite amount of time.
It certainly looks like the 21st. Going once! Going twice!... @vofff, Wherever copious amounts of nutritionally vacant food stuffs may be found...The mustard packet factory gets my vote :D That or Bodeans/Nandos ^^
With game engines you also have support for the rift. You can get custom licensing quotes from Unreal to reduce or eliminate the royalty, bu I would expect the initial investment amounts to increase substantially.
i plan to make a plank pieces from the same map to have strewn about, and i may do some blackenig vi a blend with another material, since theres goina be a decent amount of things exploding.
Gave dirt a go, any suggestions? I replaced the image with a tiled 1024/1024 one instead. A friend saw it and told me to reduce the amount of pebbles in the texture, so here's that. What do you think?
A faster machine would only make the amount of freeze time shorter. That's why I usually send anything I want rendered off to another computer/farm to be rendered so I can continue working.
The wheels do look small in comparison to the body, especially with the amount of armor on it. And although this could be the angle of the render, your model looks to sit a tad bit lower than the reference shot. Great job otherwise ae.
that stone texture is looking very good, just the right amount of details for great readability. Cool to see something clean for once when a lot of people tend to put way too much grunge on that kind of texture
