ok! one more update, now that I got my other obligations out of the way I'm able to continue this. Added seams and bolts to help the idea of this thing being constructed. starting the low poly now! lets keep this party going.
Here is an update of my shotgun. The HighPoly is done, i started baking and texturing. My art director checked it and siad that i needed more resulution on the wood handle. So i scaled up the UVs of that part and i could continue textureing
That is a shame it's gone. It's a big part of my modelling workflow. Would I be able to hold down Ctrl+E and continuously extrude (like you could do by holding Shift)? I guess I will have to try the demo to see. Grumble grumble.
Hi Amile, Thank you for your feedback. The nose was a design choice to emphasise it a bit. When/if continuing this speed sculpt, I will probably use the pinch brush more to get a similar feel to other elements of the character (Ie.Hands, ears and detailing) Ras
me and my bro roleplay on text chat on skype, improvising the character as we go and figuring out it's main features in terms of personality and look, from there its scribbled and over several weeks we continue to flesh out the visual and then I model it.
hahaha the Hulk becomes Wolverine. Got sick of the Hulk and figured this guys proportions were better suited to Wolverine. so I swapped em. I also played around with the Z-Sphere rig to pose him before I continue with the sculpt.
Looks like she has double eyebrow ridges. The nose to eyebrow curve seems like the right shape, but seems to stark or deep or something. The second curve above the eye is weird. I think it should be a continuous curve from nose to temple.
Congrats Matt!, It seems the feedback for my thread is all great, im very glad i posted this and can share the same enthusiasm as you all! Please continue to shore with me and the rest of the community how much we all love Polycount!
Wanted to try something new. Although I like my other guy he's just a bit too normal for me... Anywho this is based on my concept of Bebop from TMNT. This is about 2 days of progress. Will post more as progress continues.
Reading this makes me sad. I don't know what to say. If you love making 3d then continue it, but don't get $60k of student loan debt with unrealistic expectations for employment without a major improvement in your visual perception and art skills.
