There's some awesome stuff going on there. Granted I'm not the biggest fan of DC and Marvel sculpts (I think it's because there are just so many of them out there). But I can still recognize the amount of talent put into them.
thanks ott thats the original idea is to find the areas with a good amount of studios and live around a good 35minutes - hour away and look for a cheaper place to live, is what they say about the parking in the citys true though?
Lovely! If I had one thing to say it would be that while he does have something dripping from him, the amount that of substance in those drips isn't reflected in the wetness value of his skin. Otherwise, whuuuut!
Now I feel like I have to upgrade my comp's monitor to collosal inches to appreciate the amount of detail... This will probably be the game that encourages me to take the step beyond 1280x1024. MadMax Goonies + SandPeople FTW!
I believe each brain controls the corresponding half, which makes it awesome when they type on a computer. or tie their shoes. or pretty much do anything. I'm vaguely surprised at the amount of twins who post here.
elance.com seems close. Freelancers bid on proposals. I really want to like the site, but sadly, while there are a solid amount of requests for 3d work, the price scale is never close to good, or they expect the abilities of a whole studio....
Even if you were to make 1 long triangle strip, you'd still only have 254 triangles. Doesn't sound like a feasible amount of polygons for a game. (except maybe Battlezone but that doesn't need normalmaps)
crysis does it as a post process, we are looking in to this, they go into detail about it in gpu gems3. basically you make 1 bit alpha, then as a post process it blurs the it , you can control the blur amount for softer alpha.
i think poop hit it pretty good. other than that i like it that amount of value contrast might be nice if you planned to do the whole normal/spec thing, but even so.. anyway nice work
Excellent excellent amount of info EQ, very much appreciated it :) Stumbled upon this bit of information some time ago (backing up with what you said, with pixxx) and proved extremely usedful :) on the polywiki ofcourse <3
