I agree with JordanLeigh, its difficult to make out anything in the scene. Nothing grabs attention and the lighting is dull. The materials all look like they have no spec/roughness attributes, making it difficult to separate elements at first glance.
Still need to do some more stuff with the story, but here's some of the final presentation images. I'm gunna be adding certain other elements to the scene before putting it on places like artstation, but here it is! http://imgur.com/a/4yr7D
@Ghost well i have the Elemental Ice set for tiny, and the set covers pretty much everybit of him ( include the torso - and legs ) so it looks like we will have to create an entirely new tiny from scratch
You assign Mesh.vertices to modify the vertices. Note that you cannot assign individual elements of Mesh.vertices, you have to assign the entire array, for instance: Vector3[] verts = myMesh.vertices;verts[0] = new Vector3(0,10,0);myMesh.vertices = verts;
I think there is a way to fix it in max, if you detach all of the elements and then add them in order from innermost to outermost they will sort correctly, but most people don't bother and just work around it because engines handle it correctly.
It's vaguely going in the right direction. It looks human, that's good haha. You should block in the rest of the limbs at once. Work from big picture and forms before you worry about tinier elements like a bellybutton, etc.
I haven't gotten much done lately. Started back at it with tweaking a few things...such as the cloth elements which were piss poor. I really need to find some good ref for capes and shit in the wind. Help?
Yeah, agree with the crits above, the design is great but he is looking like a dire hero atm. The theme "demon slayer" is pretty awesome, but you really don't need to show any demon or macabre elements to show the theme.
Hey guys. I've updated my scene to look more pleasing to the eye in a lot of areas. At the moment I'm leaning towards more story elements. Trying to play with the placement of dynamite, and finding some reference for gnomeish assets.
Consider making his back-plates stick out more to give him a spinier appearance - It's an element that's really jumping out at me, how smooth his back is compared to every other part of him. Just a thought.
