Hey there guys, I recently installed 3DS MAX 2022(was using 2019) and re-installed TexTools. But it isn't functioning properly. For one, I can only apply one of the built in Checker materials(the first one without the numbers). Secondly, I cannot toggle out of that Checker Material aside from applying a new material from…
I only applied to two game companies and one hired me. The other places I applied were doing CG TV shows and movies. I just took the first thing that was offered to me.
Okay cool! i can try that, really strange how the texture didnt apply though. I'm looking through some tuts now, so i'll try and apply some basic textures to a crate.
I will try that method and yes I did apply xoulil shader to my it but even so I took it off and applied a standard material and got the same results. Weird bug it seems to be working now..
Seems like it might be transparency sorting, does the material you are using have some sort of transparency applied? If so, make sure that you only apply a transparent version of your material to the faces that need it.
Bring the UVs back into 3ds Max, apply the texture to the model so it shows in the viewport, and apply a UVW Unwrap modifier to edit the UVs. This will let you see the 3d model while you edit the UVs.
Depends on what they really need. But yes its safe to apply as an Environment Artist unless they have a specific job opening for "Prop Artist" in which you would want to apply for that if you want to do props.
Yep exit sub object mode before applying unwrap. Push 1 (Toggles vert sub object mode) until "Editable Poly" is gray (it shouldn't be yellow), then its safe to apply Unwrap UVW.
You can set different blending modes per channel on the layers themselves or effects applied on layers but the mask and any effect you apply to it is common to all channels, it has always been the case.
1) Make sure you exit sub-object mode before apply bend, otherwise it will only apply blend to whatever you have selected. 2) Have you changed the "Bend Axis"?
