This looks really great! I'm digging the colors too (is that a blond Leo ? *-*) Tho I think open hair wouldve been cooler as they are floating sadly her great hair gets always hidden / tied in her skins (except base which is just bae <3 ). Nonetheless really cool cant wait for the completely finished one <3
here's 3 designs i made for the inhib. I am still deciding on which one i want to go with, but so far i'm leaning more on 1 and 3. I'll be tweaking the geo more since the base is too big and the crystal is a bit small. Need to finish my monster's Den. I'll come bak to this later
Hi Mikewitk, Thanks for your great comments ! I know 3 amazing HardSurface artists who inspire me every day ! 1- Thor Frick : https://www.artstation.com/artist/snefer 2- Bruce Bailey : https://www.artstation.com/artist/bforbruce 3- Tim Bergholz : https://www.artstation.com/artist/timbergholz For me, they master…
I like 3 and 4 the best, they use enough elements from the original to properly call back to it without pulling too much and hammer 1 looks the best to me. I think the cleanliness of the character design for 3 fits Piltover a little better with hammer 1's transformation having more 'magical' elements to bring the theme…
Grimwolf and Tyler - Thanks for the feedback! We are running two separate courses a week, and are intent on never running a single course for more than 3 weeks. We're close to being able to run 3 a week! We definitely felt like some of the 4-5 parters just drug on forever. We're learning and always looking for more…
Thank you for all the responses. I forgot to mention the reason I am leaning towards a 690 is because I am going to be gaming with a 3 monitor setup. What would all suggest I know the 690 is extremely expensive, but with running a 3 monitor setup for gaming and doing 3D work, what would be the best buy?
Interesting. Separating color and light intensity is something currently done in compositing tho. Not sure why it would be different "in theory". I shall run some tests. 3*RGB maps is easier to get straight from max, but for my per vertex thingy, i'm affraid i can't use 3 vertex channels that support RGB.
I'm not an expert, but you could have a look at what the guys in The Witcher 3 were going for by extracting some models from the game (or download them). You will usually get 3 different objects for different LODs(of course triangulated). Diffuse, Normals etc. are available somewhere as well. As a beginner I found it…
Hey everybody, im a student for game art and design and would love a critique on these two of my most recent pieces. they approximately took me about 3 hours each all done in photoshop CS 3, thanks in advance :) , also, how do i make my uploads not show up as a thumbnail? kinda newb at forums..
I actually recently did an Eat3D dvd, the cryengine 3 vol 1-3 and it was really good, the tutorials had good depth and I found it easy to learn. I'll be buying some more of those once I get another monitor due to the fact alt+tabbing between WMP and max/ps is annoying.. lol Thanks Andreas :)
