well i find the scene disturbing, i find the camera set up with the toy room and the title 'kids eat free' kinda paedophilic. Im not being personal with the creator either. Seriously thou people talking about texture res and quality? I might be going soft i don't know. -
Re: Maya 2014 File Browser extremely slow?
Hi there, So just for reference, getting rid of my floppy drive in Device manager, makes the browser instant on restart of Maya.... Had an issue like this in Softimage years ago, it was slow access to a network drive, nothing to do with Soft, it was a network issue. Browser just couldn't build itself quickly. Cheers. A -

Thanks for the feedback. The forms were dropped in at lower div's the 'lumpy' look was me trying to randomise it abit with some really soft brushes. As for the sternomastoids, nose, chin etc... are you referring to the latest images or the ones above that? As the face and neck area have had some work done to it. Ty again… -

It's looking great, I absolutely love your repeatable wood and the stone! For the window texture I feel you could give the little beams a harder edge - right now they are looking a bit too soft. If the in-betweens are supposed to be glass they will definitely need a harder spec. Anyways, looking great so far! -

I think the form is a little better in the second one, it doesn't look as soft as the rocks in your first post, but your smaller details are ruining it for me. Your hiding the crisp edges with muck. If your going to add surface details like that, you need to be pretty subtle, and don't do it so evenly. -

I love your detail, but you seem to have a bit of pinching above the text of "fn herstal belgium" and at the other side at the same place. I also think that your 'dent' in the grip is a bit too hard, if I look at reference of fn five seven, I see that the 'dent' is really soft. -

You are making awesome progress here man. The eyeballs are probably still too big and the eyelids would not go so far back on the side of the face. Besides that the face looks good and you just need to add some more definition . It just looks a little soft right now. Keep it up. -

your model looks good from what I can tell. but I would suggest being careful about using air soft and toy guns for refrences. They tend to be close in appearance to the real thing but I have ran into issues where the can be off on proportions and detail compared to the real firearm -

Its not real pressure control though. It just sees the size of the pressure area as larger with the soft end of the capacitive stylus. Jackablade - When you say there was a fight between the coders and the artists, who wanted what? The reason I ask is that 2 coders that I have worked at various firms with over the last few years both love Soft Image. They say its so easy to write tools for and get data out of.
