Nope, the triangulation for objects that don't deform doesn't matter. As long as it looks as good as you need it's ok. For example, Simplygon produces some very ugly looking meshes because they are built only to look good at a defined pixel size, and that is ok.
sorry i'm on cs3 aswell. mode ? tolerance ? imo, using the paint bucket tool isn't the right way to fill objects, because it slightly encroaches stuff around. I'm using layers with lock transparent pixels on, then fill it with alt+del.
Cheers Pixel. I have my own base mesh.. Im just gonna improve it a little to my own specs and dynamesh it :) atleast that way i can say i've done the legwork from the ground up... :) Nice work :)
I think it's because the uncompressed and BC5 formats' Z value has to be calculated in the pixel shader. I've had this problem before (because I don't like compression artifacts :P), good thing I remembered how I fixed it.
Might be because you're using DXT1? Its alpha isn't really an alpha... the black pixels of the alpha channel get burned into the color part of your texture, to save on file size. Which then can make a black halo if it's filtered incorrectly.
Yeah, that's just HL2, before the new tech. Could be your hardware too, Jason was saying in the paper that only cards supporting pixel shader 2_b can render the new shader. Hmmm, want to find some screenshots of Ep1 now.
I don't think the general public will care which project was green lighted first. It comes down to who made it into the theaters first. Please Disney don't mess this one up and then sign a deal with pixar and ride them into pixel paste.
With our super powers of three dimensional graphics and programmatic prowess; Let's make a game in flash. OK!!! man you guys are great at cannabalt. yikes. I like Pixel jams rat maze. I think its the music. LOL
It seems to me you copy to get good, but once your good you won't copy. As far as pushing pixels, I get internet pics to blend and overlay on portions of paintings/textures all the time. I plan to keep doing it.
Wow man. I think this is what everyone meant by "offset by 1".. ugh. I feel so dumb. I thought they meant offset by 1 pixel. This was tremendously helpful and I was able to fix the dent right up in an instant. Just fantastic. Thank you so much.
