Long time no post. Now that I actually have some free time I'm really going to spend some quality time with Maya and ZBrush. To that end, I just finished a series of tutorials to brush up on some ZBrush basics on digital tutors and came out with this. It's a little rough, but... I made something, woo!
I thought I'd start out with where I am today after my 1-2 years of a bit more serious digital painting. Never gone to school for it, just good old practice at home while not studying! 2h painting 1h speedy Concept for an animated short film 3hr painting 2hr painting

Totally Do we really need another thread about wether someone should be playing games after work? I like to fish on the weekend, but I could be making more digital art. maybe I should make a thread about the value of catching fish vs working like a single minded, boring sod
Here's a link that you might find helpful as you work on this project. http://www.scott-eaton.com/2007/the-archer He creates some really convincing digital sculptures in Zbrush, and has an emphasis on how the skin contorts over muscles as opposed to popping and bulging every muscle, which a considerable amount of 3D…
If you're a student and only using this for educational purposes then I would suggest just using a student license from autodesk, all of their programs are available for free to students, you just need to specify your school. Sculptris is a useful intro to digital sculpting and nice for sketching but it is too limited in…
That right there is why I believe the new consoles are going to be successful. Sony has basically say ya, you can play used games if you ahve the disk. IF you have the disk. but they have such a huuuge focus on their online store, I bet 80% of all games for the ps4 wont HAVE a disk. they`ll be digital only.
http://www.ctrlpaint.com/library/ This website has a ton of free, short and informative tutorials about a large number of subjects within drawing such as traditional drawing, moving and using digital tools, theory and other such related material. It does have a small amount of paid tutorials in the store but the amount of…
I'd rather have a company offer a free game on their digital platform to get me to use it rather than force me to use it because a game I already paid for won't launch without it. Even if Origin turns out to be a frustrating waste of time, at the very least EA was nice about getting me to use it.
