I dont know about the second one, but to your first question in the snaps menu (choose what to snap to) on one of the tabs there is use axis constraint, I think this should solve your issue.
Study of my favourite digital painting by Xiaoyu Wang, Original is here. Don't know why this didn't appear when I submitted it the first time. EDIT: Apparently pending approval. Problem solved.
got the problem solved, was caused by the global illumination of mental ray. also got the materials done and spec & glossmap now just more tweaking everything before i can go over to rigging!
You could also probably solve it with raycast blockers. Whatever floats your boat, really. Exploding is more applicable to baking applications in general so you should definitely know how to do it.
yes but i fixed it.... i ended up just seeing if i detached all the faces as a new object and it fixed the turbo smooth and other smoothing options, wierd. problem solved thanks guys!
First of all, in what program are trying to bake it? From what I can see, these errors should be solved by a tighter cage. Check different values, it can vary based on your model's scale.
It happens only within (0;1) space. And in the other 3 squares (-1;1), (-1;-1), (1;-1) u can move shells without any glitches... why?... there must be some way to solve it.
@Bartalon What do I do to solve that problem with the crevices not showing up? I was thinking retopologizing it again, and putting extra poly's in the crevices. @Neox I cant see the pictures you posted :/
Glad to see you are still working away at this tigerfeet. Cannot really expand upon what Aga22. The move brush will solve most of the problems. It's also losing some of its femine shape as well.
Managed to solve high framerate bugging the game out by using fps limiting functions in http://dxtory.com while having the vsync off in game. It locks at 60fps without the downsides of high mouse-latency.
