You can use the MRGBZGrabber tool to get a depth map and RGB grab from the document. You'll probably want a better normalmap MatCap for though... the one ZBrush comes with is a bit harsh. Here's a link that might help more than my quick explanation: http://eat3d.com/free/zbrush_tile he starts grabbing maps about 12:40 in
I work crappy freelance jobs so I can work on textures and other projects in my off time without starving. #FirstWorld3dArtistProblems My advice would be to lower your expenses as much as possible so that you can get away with not working 40 hours a week, leaving some time for more important things (3d art in your case.)
Thanks for Your crits guys. Well - since I've colored the boots in bright color -I've got doubt about the size too (50 in EU ), so I'm going to make them little bit smaller ( between 40-45 EU size ) and BLACK !!!. I've found some good reference of Dr.Martens - so now I'm going this way :
I just really hate artists who's first and main goal is to create stuff that will sell well and everyone will like. There's a lot of really coll ceramicists that I really like, but generally when I see a guy at an art show with 40 similar hand painted kinda unique cups, I feel like they are just doing it because they know…
The things you sculpt in ZBrush aren't really meant to be used in a game as is. My sculpts, including the subtools, usually end up at around 40 million triangles. So I use the sculpts to generate normal maps (and cavity maps, etc) for a game-specced lower res model that I make separately. ZBrush produces as many polygons…

I used a 256mb GeForce 4mx Had to run it on the lowest setting, but was able to keep shadows. Runs pretty smooth. Also that's on a 1.85 ghz Celeron, so probably the best I can do with that CPU. The card was only 40 dollars too Basically just something to hold me over until I get my hands on a new gaming rig.

This is kind of out of context but Buy yourself some gunnar glasses. I bought mine 3 years ago, mainly because I loved how they look good and scream "i'm a geek". ( I have really terrible sight, something like -4.75 and -5.25) http://www.gunnars.com/rx/ I thought the yellow would be annoying, but after a week i couldn't…
Today's exercise is to add my Son of Santo styled character to a IC6 world. I'm experimenting with foliage, foreground lens elements (as I tend to stage my work in the middle), overhead Softbox arrays and learning to assign a walk to a Path. 800 frame animation switched between two cameras. Assigned a Dummy or Nul object…
