For someone with "very small yet" experience, no even someone with "very large" experience that is amazing! Really love the colours, highlights and texture. Basically all the painted work is amazing. I don't see any budget for the dragon form on the official requirements site though, and the wireframe looks like it's got a…
I really like the overall style of your portfolio and color scheme its interesting. You seem to have some solid modeling/texturing skills and good presentation of the models. I personally would like to have seen the hi-poly model wireframes like you did the low poly. Good luck to you.
Update! Haven't had a lot of time to work on this, but I think I've addressed some of the more major issues. Still not sure about the base stone, though. What do you guys think? Here's some updated pics of the scene: High poly sculpts of the front steps, the rocky base, and the roof tiles: Wireframes:
Hey this is nice for a first attempt. The only thing I see straight away is that you need to watch out by not modeling the separate panels as a single object; your wireframe isn't matching up everywhere (at the back) and this could lead to problems with surface continuity. I thought nobody cared about cars here on PC :p
i agree about the first and third shots showing too much of the terrain, and i would suggest keeping the shadows from being pure black. from how bright the environment is, the front of the building under the overhang looks pretty dark. the shapes are awesome though, any wireframe shots or texture sheets you can show?
I would say that you should remove all of the models that are recolors of previous models, add texture breakdowns and wireframes and show multiple poses/ angles of the best of your characters. I would remove the WIP section entirely and focus on pushing the two first characters that you have, as (imo) they are the most…
nice work, but yeah the skin on her neck realy looks uneven. also the eyebrows look realy blocky, maby try a different photosource for them. would you mind posting a wireframe shot of your hairplanes? i would like to take a look at your technique cause your hair looks very smooth.
Your stuff has too dark black shadows, black shadows looks bad. Check other games: http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/2009/02/custom_1235003547952_dunmurogh.jpg Maybe you could think on that for your next projects. Also If I would hire you I would like to see more wireframe and textures. Cheers
Age isn't much an issue. If your work's good enough, you can get a job. The bigger issue is "I only want to model X or Y" because that makes you less useful. Your work doesn't look too bad, but without wireframes, texturesheets, and only two lowres screenshots it's kinda hard to judge.
Here's the wires. Fixing the model isn't a big deal tho. I'm more concerned about my import and the materials. But here's the wireframe for the lod0 if you have any suggestions. I'm realizing just how much better Shocks suggestions is than my initial idea. Feel so silly for not noticing it sooner. That's be worth a lot!
