Could also just simply record your screen with something like OBS, engage the blend shapes, convert recorded mp4 -> gif. -

A little more blocking and a few more details. torso, shoulders and the rest of the arms are separate pieces at the moment, will merge and blend these at a later stage. -

started working on the fine details, most of which will blend in and be obscured by the hair I'll put in. Just started blocking in the other props and stuff. -

Photoshop is fine for combining Normal maps. Just set the blending mode to Overlay and you're good to go. I do it all the time. -
