Wow, that's awesome. Does the light only refract once per pixel? Does it refract agian through the back faces? That emissive looks awesome, but a bit jerky. A wonder if that will be as noticeable with octrees implemented. Do you have AO working?
Awesome, cheers for the info. All I know is what I've read in reviews. I have been hesitant to buy one through the online store aswell in case I end up with dead pixels. OLED will save us...
You haven't been working on the PS3 then Jesse... Jesse's probably right about the render settings, but if you're like me and you're lazy, good old smudge tool with a one pixel brush and a steady hand would help it as well.
I didn't propose in a game, but I did make my wife a sprite based game about kittens collecting butterflies. My wife really likes pixel art so she loved it. Congrats man, that video is awesome!
If you dont think you can find a local job and dont want to relocate then perhaps try to freelance? BTW your pixel stuff is very nice so maybe you should do some DS spec models.
Finally starting to feel comfortable painting on a tablet again.. 1.5 years doing pixel art kind of made me lose it. Gauss I'm still keeping an eye out for your next piece! >:) 2 different approaches this time..
Nice lookin gun man. Looks like you have some inconsistant pixel density on your textures that kind of stands out though. It's really noticible on the 4th shot from the bottom. May want to work that out a bit.
Slice method created a lot of weird bits and pieces. It also screws up alignments so that you get bunches of weird 1 pixel borders between images. i had a slice based website before but it wasnt jiving.
how does this differ from ever other game using pixels and polygons to make an imaginary 3d world! on a more serious note,, game looks fantastic,, not a fan of the stiff animations,, but i can see what they were trying for,
Thanks pixel for your kind words. It wasnt 3 days/ 8 hours a day. It was few hours here and there, but to avoid confusion and having to explain myself, I removed it completely. I will work on my speed, thanks a lot man!
