thank you :) but in case of the knight i would have loved to have more freedom proportionwise, but well i'm just the deliverer and they already had the rig and anims...

commercial art is not made for overly acute consumers. It's made to be appealing to broad audiences. It's also made a on deadline/budget. if you want creative freedom, you have to make your own stuff.
Moved to 4.16 for volymetric lighting. Took some artistic freedoms with the other character. Still need to be better with hand painting, I am so used to making everything with Substance Designer.
@Thomas Doig - Because this challenge is a noob challenge I believe you have freedom to choose your polycount or texture size...I'm not sure :) ) HighPoly is done...Next step, Lowpoly
From meeting other artist here in Japan, they think Western artist are better; more detail, higher quality, more freedom to explore at work, pushing limits. Grass is always greener...
I think the easiest way would be to create them in 3ds max,or whatever modeling program are you using.I would probably start with a spline,in that way you have more freedom.
that highpoly could use alot more detail, right now the shapes all seem very bland and basic, primitives with chanfers etc, highpoly is supposed to give you freedom use it
Nice ideas Odow! Probably would be better if people could create their own models, like the other monthly challenges. Just allows them more artistic freedom :)
