So I've been cranking away on my level the last two days and make some good progress; tomorrow I am hoping to get the floors and ceilings in the level and I would like to get moving on some textures. I have not really done any texture work yet except for the emissive stuff but here is where I'm at.
Havent posted in my thread yet as ive got some super obvious critique to fix tonight (the polygonally crap around the metal relief at the top and the greybox light fixtures) which will be changed before I put anything into my thread. But i thought id share the progress of the last week or so worth of "an hour here and an…
Some progress on my project for the finals. No color correction etc. has been done yet and I have a new bunch of renders being crunched on the farm that fixes the banner simulations(so they dont penetrate the pillars) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_njGJHIYaAM"]School final - Assassin's Creed Environment Progess 4 -…
I thought I'd start documenting my progression from noob to less of a noob with a blog! That way other noobs can become less of a noob using my how to become less of a noob, for noobs... blog. Made my first actual blog post today, it's on material definition, it's pretty nooby, and bloggy, check it out!…
@ScoobyDufus- thanks man-spot on critique- wish I had some better answers to that other than "to make him look badass and make you want to shoot rockets at his face" ....facerockets... I might move this dude to his own thread for further crit, low-polying and what-not but hers some mo progress. Cool stuff everyone!!
I found an awesome rock sculpting tutorial thread over at the technical talk forum: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83605 Decided to post my progress here too. I used the super helpful videos people were nice enough to upload in that thread as a starting point. I'd like to try some spiky shaped rocks next.

Looking pretty nice Matt, UDK is not that hard to learn. You will be able to control the lighting much easier with it. Some more progress on this DeusEX scene. Still need to get the hand rails in, replace the wall on the right. Might add some more props to give it some life. Don't want it to end up looking like every other…
Something I´ve been having fun with in spare time: It´s 2718 tris so far - I´m not going for super-lowpoly model, just having fun (I can optimize later). The texture is still in progress and I also need to model the machine-gun for him. If there´s enough time I´d like to make a full set of Oddworld characters.
I got that itch again that I want to make a new base mesh. I sorta have out-grown my old one and I want to make some improvements from the things I have learned recently. Lookin for Lots of Feedback: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1668297#post1668297 Here is my progress from a couple nights of pushing and…
