Evening fellow Polycounters. Awesome work on here as usual, keep it up guys. Had a go at doing a prop with substance painter, had a lot of fun getting to grips with it. It's an awesome tool. Crits welcome. Thanks Ben
Crosspost I've been brushing up on my substance designer knowledge and practicing some more interesting shapes and layouts, more shots over at my artstation! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/pbr-procedural-hard-surface
Just finished a tillable texture decided to go back to the old fashion ways of using just Zbrush and Potatoshop, still trying to get to grips with Substance Designer so I'm on and off it at the mo :poly122:. Rendered this in Toolbag2.
Crossposting from my thread. Starting to do texture tests. This one is made with 3DS Max, Substance Designer and Photoshop. Just trying to learn different workflows to do things and also having fun with nodes in SD :)
calling this pretty much done. If anyone has some tips to push it further it would be appreciated :) Not done much PBR before this...Was a good learning process to get myself into Substance... started some wood planks now :)
So I spent the weekend learning Substance Designer. It's pretty damn sweet. I might have gone a bit overboard on the wear and weathering. It's also to the point of being to noisy in programs outside of Substance. Still a lot to learn but I feel like I've really grasped the basics! (also my graph is a bit nuts and I'm sure…
Trying to get back into Substance Designer, messing around with trying to get an ok workflow for handpainted style :) Thanks to Karen Stanley's awesome tuts - http://kazperstan.co.uk/ This can be pushed much more but it's been fun so far!
@rikk Looks amazing ! great work !! I motivated myself to do some substance designer work, here is some wood I did while testing a bunch of stuff for a future project and getting used to the procedural logic !
Been trying to perfect this procedural paint formula using Substance Designer. I've got a system now instead of just random nodes, but results still need some refinement: The look isn't as good as the initial cliff imo:
You are correct. I have it set up so I can adjust brick tiles, edge damage, wear and tear, colors, etc just by adjusting some sliders. Really enjoying making textures in Substance Designer :)
