Looks really nice so far, well done :) Also I totally agree with the others about the ribbing on the ceiling, it looks far stronger and much more realistic.
With the Hollow Knight: Silksong announcement I felt inspired to revisit my quasi-realistic take on Hornet. You can check it out along with the previous version on ArtStation!

Going back to try and fix issues with the head (by doing a new one :D ). This time I'm going for a more realistic approach to see if this improves the overall look of the character.
Yeah I checked out that Last of Us rigging demo. It's a great and informative vid indeed. They've set the bar pretty high for realistic character animation with that game.
how detailed/realistic does it need to be? Maybe you just put in a joint or two for each chamber (and maybe a few along the main arteries) and then animate their scale rhythmically.
with the improved textures it looks much better. Many of your edges are too soft however, taking away from the realistic look, maybe have a look at that for the next model

What is this for? Is she supposed to be stylized or realistic? It looks like her clothes are just painted on her body without any additional form. Is there a reason for this? e.g. her hood.
