Arise, necrothread! Thanks for your feedback guys! I've incorporated quite a lot of it in, especially the elbowpads - I think that they really add to the design. Thanks for pointing that out guys. I've had some freelance projects the past 6 weeks, so I haven't been able to work on this as much as I'd liked. Finally got the…
Thank you for the feedback and kind words, I've broken up the tail. Unfortunately a rider isn't part of the brief though I may make one at a later date. The concept was mostly in my head though I picked bits and bobs from other steam punk artwork and had a good look into how steam engines work so I could make something…
IIRC they did hire/train a new programmer recently. And I don't think saying they're motivated entirely by money is true; Teddy first released the original nDo for free before quixel existed. When dDo2 was released ddo 1 was released for free and owners were upgraded to ddo2 for free. Their licensing system is pretty fair…
Also if I may ask, is it easier to network online than in person? I always seem to have trouble online, whether it's mispronounced words or difference of opinions, I always seem to have scuffles with people with difference of opinions. In irl my personality seems supposedly "shine", but it seems hard to keep up with folks…
Actually Modo's smoothing groups are all right for soft/hard edges, but the discoverability is pretty bad and the implementation is a little weird. It's in the menus, under Geometry->Polygon->Set Smoothing Groups, and each smoothing group is a letter or number. So for example you could have smoothing group A on one area…
hi! why am i so lonely xD so, this is my second try at a walk, or what they call a vanilla walk (sounds cool). i'm not yet sure if i have fixed the popping knee issue totally or not. unfortunately there's no knee snap function available in this rig, fixing the knee issue is tough. or maybe im too much of a noob. anyway,…
There's no performance gain...yet. I think the biggest advantage of this and why it was used with that robot game is because the game itself is so small, XBL games have to be < 50 megs so you can see where that helped. However I know the guys at allegorithmic mentioned the possibility of some of this stuff being…
One thing that gets me is that his right leg seems to stay on the ground a bit longer than it should. It kinda throws it off for me. It might just be that he's sort of "riding" the horse on the stick...just something isn't translating well for me. I'd also imagine that gun having a bit more secondary animation...it seems…
Not bad but don't be afraid to get in there and move some stuff around. Right now it looks like all you did was move the legs/feet and hands/arms and moved her up and down. This a walk cycle does not make. Try rotating her hips and shoulders to follow her leg and arm movements, the hips and shoulders should counter each…
Nah it doesn't zoom in and out like crazy, thank god. It shakes like crazy, the cursor when you put the stylus close to the tablet wyen you are just about to paint. It also doesn't draw or paint normally while it does this. It just doesn't want to draw an arc for example. The problem seems to go away if I zoom in if I'm…
