@mkandersson : thanks for the references, but i wanted a more stylized version, something easier to read for the eyes rather than have a rock too much noisy. @PyrZern sounds like you need to use more texture maps and stuff XD You should try looking up re-topology and texture baking like normal maps and junk. What program do you use? @twoquiznos Mind showing us a wireframe? :D @Clo Looks good :D liking the detail on the arms. -

I would personally get some better renders of your wireframes. There's nothing wrong with grabbing it from Max but I think that doing it in Marmoset Toolbag with a simple lighting setup would just look a lot nicer. Also, if I'm being really picky I would change the font that you have used for the text in your renders :D -

Interesting, I'm wondering if we saw the actual SubD level 1 model ingame. I'm pretty sure Polyphony Digital uses the same approach for the latest GT, I've seen glimpses of wireframes in videos that definitely looked like subdvision models. Using this method is probably faster than going for a really high-quality midpoly… -

Well first off you have noticeable seams at the head and neck. Second, the proportions of the chest, obliques, and abs look off to me, like there too squat and compressed together when they should be more stretched out. Done with the unwrap and layout, still have a few minor tweaks to do, and haven't figured out how to do the laces in the best way... Tried baking it only, which didn't produce any good results, so now I'm thinking mesh... Having a hard time deciding on a color scheme, here's a few variations... any input? Wireframe -

The only issue I see is the amount of breakdowns displayed. It's okay to show wireframes, maps, etc. But I feel you have too many angle shots that could easily be condensed into one image. Less is more in this case. Also, for potential overseas employers, if your last name is Gross, you might want to drop the esszet for… -

Seems decent, but only touching the very basics. There's more difficult things to SubD, like understanding the flow of a surface and translating that to a wireframe. I wrote a document on that, I'll see if i can share it when i get home. It's mostly aimed at cars since these are the most difficult situations but it'll help…
