just a guess here, but the upper edge of the arch should be a little wider in the UV layout. Grab the UV's on the upper edge and scale outwards in the x slowly, watching viewport results, and see if that helps. could also grab them and use optimize tool, then realign vertically.
+1 w/ what everyone else is saying. About the layout you posted. I like how it's simple. Just remeber to put your name at the top :) Always place your contact info at the every bottom of your "work" page. Just my thoughts .
It was an instant buy ^^ I am not fan of the wood texture and the layout of the big boss room is weird (chairs each side of the desk). That said, i really loved your work, some great ideas for the blueprints and the overall design of the props is really really cool. Gratz ^^
you should read some tutorials on uv mapping. and learn how to do good uv layouts. learn some 2d photoshop painting techniques. learn how to use a 3d paint app like zbrush, mudbox, mari. its really a broad question.
Are you looking for crits on the website or the work? Only thing that bothered me is that i would like a bigger picture when i click the image thumbnail. Other than that you got some sweet stuff there. Layout is good and easy to read and the presentation is really good.
Either can be used for demolitions, and T.N.T takes up less texture space Nice layout and texture re-use Rhino. :) Will look good once you get the spec and such tweaked on it, maybe a particle effect with the in game gold assets to make them really sparkle.
Thanks for the comments. @yodude87: yeah, you're totally right ^^ they are way too big.. gonna chance this i think i'm going to do the uv-layout tomorrow (i want to really focus on a nice texture sharing) and then do the highpoly stuff. thanks so far ;)
Its still sooo DAM GREEN AND DARK! lol Good progress on the textures I can actually see. I do like that you changed up the layout a bit, that half-circle window will work alot better for some incoming night/day light
@Brian thanks for the input, you are definitely right. I've just updated it a bit with a different layout that starts with images right away without any clicking. Not sure if it's any better. Maybe I will ditch all of that and just dump thumbnails of all of the images on the main page
The scene is messy from a design layout point of view. The sphinx is lined up fine with the two pools, but imagine walking down those stairs. There is no obvious path, just a cluster of obstacles. I did a botch job in Photoshop to show you how it could be improved:
