It's good that you are using subtools, but it needs more perhaps you should tighten up the body a bit more, you know, define the figure 8's in the arms and sharpen up the hands for a couple you know?
Door goes straight up to the ceiling. Whenever you're modeling an environment, always have a human model inside. Scale it so it matches the real measurements of a man (usually 5 Foot 8 or 5 Foot 10).
