For the VisAreas, it's possible you've unknowingly frozen them (the hotkey is F I believe). To select them, bring up the Object List and be sure to click on the "Frozen" radio box to the right. Then you can highlight their names, press Select, and then unfreeze. There's also an Unfreeze All hotkey, don't remember what it… -

should just be able to right click your desktop and select properties from the menu, and then the settings tab should have the 2 monitors showing up with squares 1 and 2 inside. select the number 2 square and then under the screen resolution there is a bullet for "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" -

1. select all faces (like in your pic) 2. press e (for extrude) than just click (without moving it) 3. while the faces still selected go to the left side of the window under, Tools->Transform-> "Shrink/Fatten" (move the cursor as you wish) 4. hope this helps -

I did not know you could add modifiers with multiple object selected. I guess I just assumed you couldn’t when then modifiers box went blank while selecting more than one thing. Never actually tried add one like that. It appears to be working, thanks. -

So far the best answer I can find has been "UV selection" in the UV Toolkit. With that I can select UV vertices and use the usual x key to snap to grid while moving uv vertices. Haven't found an automated way yet, but this is at least do-able now. -

zremesher is infamous for it's spirals, with or without guides. hope this will get fixed some day until then DON'T USE THE FUCKIN THING i can't count the times we worked with other peoples meshes, selected 1 edge, hit ring or loop in max and have THE WHOLE DAMN OBJECT selected grmpf! -

Hey, archie. I just take a screenshot in maya with the background set to pure green to easily select it and delete. Then ill either lasso select the item or take another screenshot of just the item to have two separate images. Then i just desaturate one of them in Photoshop. + simple radial gradient. -

You could use the spacing tool like MoP suggests, then after you've got all the links created, select every 2nd link (maybe in the Select by Name tool) and rotate them on a local axis/pivot point center 90 degrees. It would take care of the rotation all at once. -
Re: Photoshop: dark grey + dark grey = light grey?
I just figured out what the problem was. It seems the eyedropper picks up the visible colors instead of the colors on the selected layer, which is useful in most cases but not in this one...So can the eye dropper be set to only pick up the colors from the selected layer, or perhaps their is an Isolate Layer function?
